For around 30 years Oliver Palotai has been touring the world with very different artists as a pianist, guitarist or bass player. These include bands, musicals, orchestras and individual artists such as Kamelot, Sons of Seasons, Doro Pesch, Circle II Circle, Elderkin, Highland Saga, Uli Jon Roth, Bochumer Symphoniker, London Symphonic Orchestra, Theaterhaus Nürnberg Blaze Bayley, Epica, Alissa White Gluz and many other.
He completed over 30 world tours on all continents, from New York to Tokyo, from Sydney to Tel Aviv, from Berlin to Toronto. After early musical education, he began taking classical piano lessons at the age of seven, later adding other instruments. He studied musicology in Tübingen up to the intermediate diploma, and then music in Zurich, with David Gazarov in Munich, and in Nuremberg at the Meistersinger Conservatory. With his jazz quintet Keechero he won first prize in the BundesJugendJazzt final, became a member of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and also won first prize in the composition competition of the Rotary Club in Nuremberg.
While still a student, he began touring as a guitarist and keyboardist for the German rock legend Doro Pesch. He has now been a musician and songwriter in one of the most successful international metal acts, Kamelot, for almost two decades. As a producer, studio musician and composer, he is involved in millions of sold and streamed albums with numerous chart positions (e.g. #1 in the US rock charts in 2019; #9 in the German album charts in 2023; #4 in the UK rock charts etc.). He also founded his own progressive metal project Sons of Seasons, with which he toured Europe. Finally, in 2023, a new project of his own appears, Elderkin.
